April 19 Mr. Spurgeon spent the day with us. Sam is working at the knitting mills went to work 17. Aunt Lizzie stayed all night with us the 17. April 20 A nice day, cousin Sallie Thomas & Maggie Thompson was here this evening. April 21 Fine day John said he rode 20 miles to plant corn. April 22 Fine day, Mrs. Turner was here this eve. April 23 Easter Sunday today late Easter.

May 1 I was down to the auditorium today, class day. May 2 I was to hear the School children finish reciteing their essays & Vincent Montsinger took the honors & also it is election day. May 3 Warm day Mrs. Lee was here. election today. M. G. [Merron?] Mayor. May 4 [blank] May 5 Vera & Verla is here tonight.

May 6 Warm day. May 7 First Sunday in May. We were at Uncle John Ellers. May 8 Warm cloudy day. May 9 A butiful day. I was with the ladies at the W.C.T.U. reception at Mrs. Tomlinson's. May 10 Some rain. May 11 A nice day. Maggie was here. May 12 A very rainy eve. May 13 A rainy day. Odell came home. May 14 Nice day. Dr. Turentine preached for us.
