This book is given to the V.M.I. Library (Oct. 20, 1950 by Capt. Grant W. Letcher of Lexington, Va, Class of 1886, as a slight reminder and memorial of Lectures on Evidence of Christianity and kindred subjects by General Francis H. Smith, Superintendant of the First Class on Sunday afternoons; and the recollections of which have remained a grateful memory through a long life. General Smith cited Wm. [Polley?] Grant W Letcher.
