P.S. Our author has, in much beautiful language, urged [deleted word] you to renounce Protestantism and embrace a religion, which, in connection with other palpable errors, requires you to believe in the infallibility of a mortal man -the Pope. But before complying, I ask your candid interpretation of the following passage of _____ "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." I John. Chapt. 1 verse 8. "Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, xxxx, forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats." I Timothy. Chap. IV. Verse 1-3.
