General Rules for baking cakes

1st When bake a cake always divide
your time in fourths If it is 40 mins
in all there will be four periods of
ten minutes each If 60 there will be
6 periods etc Then observe carefully

2nd Following periods
1st The cake should have begun
to rise but there should be sign
of browning 2 There should be little
brown spots on the cake and it should
be well risen This is a critical
stage when cake is most liable
