12 wafers
1 egg-white
2 t powdered sugar
1/8 t salt
1/4 t vanilla
1/2 c chopped raisins or nuts, or
the two mixed.

Beat egg very stiff. Sugar
should be pressed through
a wire seive before using.
Add the other ingredients to
sugar and mix carefully with
beaten egg white. Spread on
top of wafers and brown in a
moderate oven.
