Chili Sauce
1 peck ripe tomatoes
4 large green peppers
6 small onions
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons cloves
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups brown sugar
5 cups vinegar
Simmer all ingredients together
for 2 hours. Pack in sterilized
jars and seal. Makes about 3 qts.

Beet Pickles
5 qts. small beats, cooked with 3 inch stems
3 cups vinegar
3 cups sugar
3 cups water in which beets
were cooked.
Bring vinegar, sugar + water to a boil
Add the beets + bring to the
boiling point. Seal in
sterilized jars.
