Baked Pork Chops
6 pork chops
5 medium apples
4 medium potatoes
6 onions, sliced
Salt & pepper
Flour
1 ½ cups boiling water
Brown pork chops well on
both sides. Pare & core apples
Pare potatoes. Cut in thin
slices. Place onion in well
oiled baking dish. Add apples
pork chops & potatoes. Sprinkle
with salt, pepper & flour. Add
water. Cover. Bake in moderate
oven 375° F. 1 hr. Remove cover.
Continue baking until brown.

Barbecued Spareribs
1 pound spareribs
2 tbsp. shortening
1 medium onion, sliced thin
¾ cup water
½ cup catsup
½ tbsp. brown sugar
½ tbsp. (tbsp.) Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper
Rub meat with salt. Sear in
hot fat. Place in roaster. Add
onion & water. Cook in slow
oven 260° F. for 30 min.
Combine remaining ingredients.
Pour over meat. Cover 30 mins
or until meat is tender.
