1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup
butter, 1/2 cup milk, whites of
4 eggs 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 1/2
teaspoons baking powder
(Vanilla) bake in 2 square layers
(filling
1/2 lb figs chopped fine
" " " almonds blanched +
chopped 1/4 lb raisens
juice + grated rind of 1 orange
1 cup sugar let cook slowly
one half hour, when cool
add 1/2 teaspoon Rose water
Spread between layers + on
top, cover with white icing
