Department of the Interior, Washington D. C. June 10 1865 Sir, I return the papers which you sumitted with your report of the 22nd ultimo [May 22nd], concerning certain disallowance by the Indian Bureau, in teh accounts of Redick Mr. Kee, Esquire late Commisioners and Agent in California. I have considered the subject, and have to direct that, in settling Mr. M Kee's accounts, you will credit him with all items allowed by Commisioner Many [penny?], and none other: you will not credit him with any item suspended, in which no additional proof has been, service, received, and you will re-examine all suspended items in relation to which

I return, herewith the papers which accompanied your report of the 14th instant (May 14) on the suspensions in the accounts of R. M Kee, late Indian Agent in California and request that you will inform me if new evidence has been filed since commissioner [illegible] suspended the items [illegible] in R. M Kee's accounts.
You will please return the papers with the information requested.

Recurring is the claim of Redick Mkee, late Indian Agent in California, and to my previous instructions of the 10th ultimo (June 10), I have to say that perceive no reason for departure from said instructions.
After carefully considering your report of items of the claim suspended by commissioner many penny, of the 14th ultimo (June 14), I have to isolate that in,

Sir
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 18th inst requesting that the Assistant Treasury of the United States at San Francisco, Cal. be instructed to buy a check drawn by Austin Wiley late Superintendent of Indian Affairs in Calafornia [California] for four hundred and thirty dollars now held by [Initials?] Lake.
