We, John L. Tate & Joseph C. Wingield justices of
the peace in the City afd. and State of Virginia
hereby certify that Robt. Lewis a party to a certain
deed bearing seale on the 26th day of January 1848
and hereto annexed Personally appeared before
us in the City of Richmond and acknowledg. [acknowledged] the
same to be his act and deed and desired us
to certify the sd. acknowledgment to the Clerk of
the Hustings Court of the City of Richmond in order that the sd. deed
may be recorded.
Given under our hands and
seals this 26th day of January 1848.
