Know all men by these presents, that I Jacob Sampson, a free mulatto man of the County of Goochland in the State of Virginia, do hereby presents emancipate and set free my wife Franky (sometimes called Franky Cross) and her six children own by me and in my possession which said children are known & called by the following names to wit; Robert, Moses, Eliza, Jacob, George, and John, which said emancipation is to take effect immediately after my decease and not till then.
