Tuesday.

Darling Sweet Barbara,

It really is a bit thick. I
know you must have written to me again,
at least once - & yet I do not receive any
letter. Apparently you wrote to the Chester
Hospital, & I have a letter - & the pyjamas - from
them already. And I wrote to several places in
Liverpool about bills etc., towards the end of
last week. & I have replies already. I must say
that this sort of thing, if it was necessary, has
the effect of making mr miss you even more, &
worry & fret about you & generally be very sorry
for myself & think about you all the time
instead of a lot of the time. I do hope my
letters are arriving a bit better.

Cole came over yesterday, & I had rather a
late evening, getting to bed at 1-30. I had
to be up again at 5-30, & have had a very
busy day. I have just had an excellent
hot bath, clean clothes from tip to toe, a
