Strafford Nov 13th - 62

Dear Rachel It is but a moment
that I have to write I would say that
we are all well as usual we arrived
home well after parting with thee -
we called upon Clara and Vienna
found them well as usual we have
since heard that Vienna had taken
a school in Washington for this fall
I shall have to be brief for as I said
I have but a moment to write -
We have just been picking out a
Barrel of Apples to send thee and
Isaac says he must carry them to
the Depot to Day for fear that it will
freeze to night - we had to pick
them from some that was Decaying
and it has rather wet and Dirtied
them which I am rather mortified
about but I have no time to wipe
and clean them as Isaac is in a hurry
to carry them Down to the Depot
