My Dear Sister Rachel

I suppose
you have had letters from
our boys lately. When I last
heard from them they were
at Bent's Frt on the Aarkansas
River on the way to Denver.
They were both well but it
appears that James has not
had good health during the
past summer. Timothy
thought at one time he had
better come back to the [Gov.?] Farm
or perhaps go home But the
brothers found it hard to part
& now James has recovered.
I am very glad to see that James
is disposed to follow the advice
of his elder brother for I feel assured
