c'est tres difficile a lire cet vieux francais! It is very difficult to transcribe this old french writing but I've made a start. Hopefully someone better at French than I am can correct my attempts!
line 26 of transcription: Can't decipher the Conservator's signature, beautiful though it be.
lione 20 of transcription: I erred in my earlier version. This would make sense as "visite," but I don't see that here.
Fixed missing pieces.
Line 2 of translation: "apparatus" is both singular and plural—4th declension.
