This indenture made the last day of June In the
Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Anne by the Grace
of God Queen of Great Brittane &c Anno the Dom 1709 Between the
Honble Collo: Thomas Pollock of Chowan precinct in the province of North
Carolina Esqr: of the one part David Henderson of the same precinct Gent
of the other part Wittnesseth that the sd Thomas Pollock for & in Consideracon of
the Natural love & affection wch he hath & beareth unto his son George
Pollock & for & toward the better advancemt: & maintanance of the sd Geo:
Pollock & for & toward the more quiet ^(Stay) ordr: & disposition of the tracts of Land
[crossed out word (and)] or Plantations wth the appurtenances hereafter menconed unto & apon the sd
George Pollock his heirs & assignes for Ever hath given granted & Confirmed & by
these presents doth give grant and Confirm unto the sd David Henderson under the
Reservacons Limitations & power of revcations hereafter menconed all that his plantacon
& tract of Land situate lying & being on Moratuck River in Chowan precinct
betwixt Land belonging now to Capt. Robt: West & Cassaya River Samll: Edmds: now
living upon it also all that his plantacon & tract of land Scituate Lying & being in the same
precinct near Cassaya River where Jno: Griffin now lives also all that his planta-
=con & tract of Land Lying and being in the Same precinct on weekocoon Creek gt: 500
Acres of Land Contan:d in one purchase patent dated the 28th: of Janry: 1705/6 & whereon
Charles Merret now lives also that his plantacon & tract of Land Lying and being
on the Southwest Side of Chowan River called pettishores in Chowan precinct
Conteining three hundred acres of Land as by a purchase patent dated the 28th of
Janry Anno the Dom 1705/6 more fully Apears & where Peter Evans now lives
to have and to hold the sd plantacon or tracts of Land and premisses with the Appurten
ances onto the sd David Henderson & his heirs Intrust & to & for the only Use benefit and
behoofe the Sd George Pollock his heirs & assignes for Ever nevertheless the Sd.
David Henderson for himself & his heirs do Covenant pmise & grant to & wth:
the sd Thos. Pollcok that the same Tho: Pollock & his assignes shall have the Use
Occupacon rights Issues & proffits of the before granted premisses wth power to lease
the same during all the Terme of his Natural life & forth: that if the sd Thos Pollock
at any time hereafter during his life by his Writing Subscribed wth. his
hand & Sealed with. his Seal shall Signify or declare that his will & pleasure
shall be that the Uses and behoofes herein Limitted or Expressed shall be
voyd & of none Effect as touching and Concerning all the before
