This Indenture made the last day of June in the Eighth
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Anne by the Grace of
God Queen of Great Brittain & Anno the Dom 1709 between
the Honble: Collo: Thomas Pollock of Chowan precinct in the the provin
=ce of North Carolina Esqr: of the one part and David Henderson of the Same
precinct Gent: of the other part Witnesseth that the sd: Thomas Pollock for & in
Consideracon of the Natural Care and Affection wch: he hath & beareth unto
his son George Pollock & for and towards ye better advancemt: & main
=tainance of the sd George Pollock and for & toward the more Certaine &
quiet Stay: order and disposition of the Goods & Chattles hereafter men
=coned unto George Pollock and to his Execrs: Adms: and Assignes for
Ever to Enjoy and possess the Same & for divers other good Causes and Consid
=eracons him the Sd Thomas Pollcok there unto moving hath given
granted and by these presents doth give and grant unto the sd David
Henderson under the Reservations limitations & power of Revocati
=ons hereafter menconed that is to say one negro man named Thom
& his wife Nanny one negro boy named Charles negro franks son
& her youngest Daughter Jackfidle & his wife Grace a Negro man
named Dick and one Negro Girl named Hannah Negro franks
Daughter & all the Cattle & hoggs of him the sd Thomas Pollock that
Runs at and belongs to a plantation of his [begin crossed out] near Cassaya River [end crossed out] ^(on Moretuck River)
where Samll: Edmds: now lives as also all his hoggs and Cattle that Runs at and
belongs to a plantacon of his near Cassaya River wher Jno: Griffin
lives allso all his hoggs and Cattle Running at and belonging to a
plantation of his at Weekacoon Creeke where Charles Merret lives allso
all his hoggs and Cattle that Runs at and belongs to a plantation of his
at Pettishores where Peter Evans now lives & also half the Cattle & hoggs
that Runs at and belongs to the Plantation at Salmon Creek where
sd: Thomas Pollock himselfe lived to be Equaly devided between
the sd. George Pollock Son of the sd Thomas Pollock to have and to
