AMERICAN RED CROSS [stationary letterhead]

Bremen, Germany
Nov.21, 1945

My darling Wife,

Well, here I am
in Bremen. Arrived
yesterday morning but
wasn't placed in an
outfit until in this after-
noon and it was too cold
to do any writing. The house
I am in now was damaged,
i.e., the windows were blown
out by close hitting bombs
and then no fire didn't help
matters. This morning
FORM 539 A [printed in bottom right corner of stationary]
