we fixed the windows as well
as possible with rags, paper,
etc., and when we left after
lunch a civilian was
there checking the furnaces.
The houses are made up
of small apartments and
each apt. has its heating
system. It was so uncomfortable
that we picked up passes, came
to town and made our evening
meal donuts and coffee. However,
tomorrow we should be
comfortable enough.
