My dearest Thomas,

I will start where I stopped last night
on the letters. I reread half of them last night
and left the other half for tonight. Glad to have
these letters to reread for it give me a little
more to write about.

There sure has been a lot of deaths in
Gatesvills during the last year. What will Mrs Williams
do now, I guess Mrs. Horner will come live with
her.
Know she will miss Mr. Williams [unclear] for
they stayed right at home together all the time.

Guess B.G. Cowper wishes he was in the
army now. I had rather be here 5 years than he in
the Pen. 1 year. What in the [begin insert] ROUND [end insert] would do you reckon he was
think about?

I have received all your packages and appreciate
every one of the. They were all nice and were in
perfect condition when they arrived. You should see
lots of the ones we do handle. Some of them don't
have enough of the box left to use we have to put
the contents in newspapers and wrap them up.
