My dearest Thomas,
I have so little to write about tonight
that I will do well to fill this page. I've done
nothing out the ordinary except the usual work. We
had rather a busy day at that.
Tonight I went over to the mess hall to see
the show. We saw [begin underline] Destroyer [end underline]. The picture was made
around one of our destroyers the John Paul Jones. It was
very good of course exciting. [begin underline] Old navy men you know [end underline]
I enjoy these navy pictures.
There is always one thing I would enjoy more, you
know what that is. What could be of more pleasure
than being with and never having to leave you again.
All navy men have a home port and mine being a land sailor
is where ever you are. I will be so glad when I can reach
my home port again.
I miss you all the time and more each day that passes.
I love you,
Harry
