[11th?] Dec [DECEMBER] First part light winds from the East & pleasant Standing on the port tack. At six p.m. spoke ship Elizabeth of Bath from Chinca[?] Islands for Hampton Roads. Midle light airs & pleasant. Latter part fine winds from the E,S.E. & pleasant. Set Topmast Studding sail. Exchanged signals with an American Bark bound South. Dec [DECEMBER] 12th All this day fine breezes & pleasant. All sail set. F Fish & Nautilus [13th?] Dec DECEMBER]. This day fresh winds & pleasant weather. Std [STUDDING] sails set low [???] aloft. F Fish & Nautilus. smooth sea Stearing N.W.by N. Chance looks prosperous for a good passage.
