First part brisk trade breeze from
east. Ship stearing N.N. West all sail set.
At 5 P.M saw the land Varvoo [VAVA'U] dist
20 miles baring [BEARING] W.N. West. At 6 P.M
doubled reafed [REEFED] the topsails. Midle [MIDDLE]
part laying with head yards aback.
Latter stearing for the bay ofVavoo [VAVA'U]
and entertered at 11 A.M.

Tuesd [TUESDAY]
June 30th
First part comences [COMMENCES] with brisk breeze.
Ship beating up the Bay of Vavoo [VAVA'U] and
Varoue. At 3 P.M anchored at the
head of the bay in 17 fathoms of
water.

Sund [SUNDAY]
July 11th
At 9 AM took our anchor from
Vavao and put out to sea leaving
bark Elisabet Swift bark Awashanks [AWASHONKS]
bark Sheperdess ship Harvest
ship Two Brothers all at anchor.
So ends this day.

July 12th
First part at noon finished stoing [STOWING]
anchors. Ship stearing north by the
wind. Saw two small islands
ahead. At 6 P.M wore ship to S. East.
Midle [MIDDLE] part the stearing. Latter part
wore ship to the east. Wind from
the north. Emploid [EMPLOYED] making a hen coop
and cleaning chain chable. Saw two
small islands. Saw Vavoo baring south dis [DISTANCE] 30 miles.

Tuesd [TUESDAY]
July 13th
First part brisk breezes from the north.
Ship stearing E.N.East by the wind emploi [EMPLOYED]
blacking or oiling starboard chain cable
and stoing [STOWING] below and made a hog pen.
Midle [MIDDLE] part light airs. Latter part
light calm. Emploid [EMPLOYED] sheling [SHELLING' beans.
