First part comences [COMMENCES] with strong trade
winds from E.S.East. Ship stearing
south by the wind. At 7 P.M wore
ship to N. East. Midle [MIDDLE] part stearing
the same. Latter the same. Saw two
sails ahead stearing the same. Lat [LATITUDE] 00 04 179 52

Thurs [THURSDAY]
Sep [SEPTEMBER] 3d
First part strong trads [TRADES] ship stearing
to N. East. At 6 P.M reafed [REEFED] topsails. Two
sails in sight. Midle [MIDDLE] part stearing the
same. Latter part wore ship to south.
Weather squally and rany [RAINY]. Saw two
sails to windward. Lat [LATITUDE] 00 21 179 58

Friday
Sep [SEPTEMBER] 4th
First part stearing to south. All sail set.
Saw the two sails to windward a gaming [GAMMING].
At 4 P.M caught a porpoise. Midle [MIDDLE]
part tacked to north. Saw 4 sails
latter part. So ends Lat [LATITUDE] 00 30 N [NORTH] 180 00

Saturd [SATURDAY]
Sep [SEPTEMBER] 6th
First part brisk breezes. Ship ster [STEERING]
to south. At 3 P.M ships Mohawk and
Elisabeth then steard [STEERED] to
north. Midle [MIDDLE] part stearing the same.
Latter wore ship to the south in
company with Mohawk. Capt. [CAPTAIN]
Grant spent the night and next
day onboard the Cary. L [LATITUDE] 00 50 N [NORTH] 179 44

Mond [MONDAY[

First part brisk trads [TRADES]. Ship stearing
to south in company with ship Mohawk.
Midle [MIDDLE] part the same. Latter part saw
