THIS DEED, Made this the 10th day of August 1893, by Allison Gray and wife Elizabeth Gray of Yuilford County and state of North Carolina of the first part, to J. W. Harris of Yuilford County and State of North Carolina, of second part, Witnessth; That said ----- Allison Gray and wife Elizabeth Gray in consideration of Twenty -- $20.00 dollar, to in (...) paid by J. W. Harris the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, had the bargained and sold, and by these presents do the bargain, sell and convey to said J. W. Harris, his heirs, a certain tract or parcel of ladnd in Yuilford County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Daul (...) HR Walden, and others, bounded as follows, viz.;
Beginning of (...) East Fifty feel to Walden (...) South. Seventy Six feel J. W. Harris. Then ee West fifty feet to the Alley, then ee north seventy six feet to the beginning containing one fourth of an acre more or less.
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and appartenances thereto belonging, to the said J. W. Harris his heirs and assigns, to then only use and behoof forever.
And the said Allison Gray and wife Elizabeth Gray covenants with said J. W. Harris his heirs and assigns, that they seized of said premises in fee, and right to convey the same the same in fee-simple; that the same are free and clear from all incumbrances, and that they will warrant and defenf the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever
In testimony whereof, the said Allison Gray and wife Elizabeth Gray hath hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written.
