21) having lately heard of his son Timothy's death at
Halifax in Nova Scotia but Mr Howard was
not at home.
1. Feb 4 1749/50 Reverend Mr Parker and Colonel Stoddard dined
with me. I bought me a horse of a [100?] £ price
Received the news of the death of the reverend and worthy Mr
Taylor of Milton who died last Thursday AEt. 46 and
in the 22 year of his ministry. A great loss. May it
be sanctified to all ministers as well as relatives and to me
especially.
2. Received a visit from Colonel Wilder [and his son?] I visi
ted Dean Ephraim Spaulding [?]
3. Wrote sermon.
4. Lord's day. Preached all day from Hebrews 11.25
5. Visited Joseph Warren his wife very weak and low
6. Visited [Benjamin?] [Prockter?] and his Mother sick and prayed with
her in the AM and Benjamin Howard and Jon.a Bowey PM
7. Reverend [Meph?] [&?] Parker and Hall dined and supped with us
8. Visited [Ephraim?] Warren[
9. Received a visit from Colonel Tyng. [Jos?] of [?] and I visited
Jas. Dutton sick and I prayed with him
