Father and Mother took me to Brookeville.
called a hith which, there [illegible] - by Olney.
called at Fair Hill, and brought Aunt
Edith up for a visit. Uncle Jim called.
telegram came telling and [illegible] Henry
[illegible] death, grown [illegible] pneum-
onia - so sad. Dr. [illegible] and
Anna came to late dinner - talked
mad and [illegible] in aptiture-

Fri. 6. Poured. high wind at night.
Nothing happened at home. [illegible]
[illegible] up wheat. Anna and I
went in to [Miss Annie's], served [illegible]
and talked. Dr. [illegible] at home. slept
in the afternoon. [illegible]-arriving - solitaire
Father and Mother called at [illegible].

Sat. 7. Clear. Windy.
Up early. Father came for me, after much
anxiety, and took me to the Insurancer Office
to [illegible] statements. Mary [Magruder], Sadie
[illegible], [illegible], Rebecca Miller, at
one table. [illegible] Robinson, Alice Farqu-
har, Jane Brooke, Lillie B. [illegible] and my-
self. the [illegible]. worked [8] hours
