Last evening in looking over St. Augustine for a
paper on the duty of self examination my eye
was caught by an impressiong made by my
formidable thumb nail I read what it aluded
to of which the enclosed is a copy & by
permission to present it for your perusal
with a request that I may Join you in a
tribute of grateful Thanks to that Beneficent
Being who has prosperd your going out
and had returnd you in safey to this
our habitation. May we each be duely
impressed with the experience we enjoy
of the constant care of our indulgent God & be
ever solicitous to obey His commands.
