18: Moderate breeze to light North wind first part of 24 hours - last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze North with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea smooth - 1st and 2nd asst putting 200 Gallons of Mineral Oil in Oil butts and cleaning Illuminating apparatus and lamp and Oil measures - Had seven visitors today - Keeper went to Newport to have the freight hauled from Newport to the light that the LIght House Engineer sent - Mr. Stimpson haulled two loads today he having took the job for $20.00.

West with heigh dry fog - Sea smooth - Keeper putting furnace in the boiler??? and plastering in store house - Mr. Stimpson hauling freight from newport to Light Station - U.S. Tender Manzanita crossed out of Yaquina and went South - Barometer 30.10 today - 1st asst working in garden and went fishing.
