in view - I can't concieve how young men
with the ministry in view if they properly consult
their commission, can think of settling down
here at home, unless some special Providence
points it out a duty. I have just been to see
Dr. Prout - He is yet fixed in his purpose, and
seems happy. the A. B. F. Missionary have appointed
him with three others to establish a new Station
among the [Loulahs?] in Africa; Ms Champion,
Venerable of Union Sem. [Va?] - and Lindley
a minister of North Carolina. Mr. Venerable
is a physician, their place of destination is
about 30' South Latitude. No I don't have to
go out of town to enjoy religion or religious
privileges - I find christians where whose society
I am unworthy to enjoy, and that which I love
better than any other that I have been in during
my sojourn here - Dr. Taylor preached here two
weeks ago, four sermons, in which were embodied his
peculiar sentiments, three at Mr. Badgers, one
in the chapel. As far as I have learned he
was universally liked. Sabbath afternoon he
he took the desk before his old opponent
Dr. __ds, and after [presting?] in a concise form the
doctrine deduced from his text, he says now let
us exame the proof - He was overwhelming -
