have power to attempt Manufacturers from taxation. - Referred to Finance

services of a respectable woman who can be called on when female prisoners are
arrested. - Referred to the Police Commissioners.

Council of Woman [Women] and others asking the Council to pass a By Law requiring that
Saloons and other places where liquor is sold shall be closed at a reasonable hour
every evening. - Referred to the Committee on Finance.

Ald: Drennan from the Committee on Finance and accounts brought up
Reports (Number 14. 15. 16 Book H.) which were read.

Ald: Drennan moves seconded by Ald: Curtis.

That the reports of the Finance Committee be received and adopted.

In Amendement

Ald Behan moves seconded by Ald: Skinner.

That the clause in the Finance Report Re taxation of all property
in the province be struck out - which being put was carried.

Re exemption be rescinded.
