at Harvard for next week-end, and the following week
go to Canada. We are both very well, but my face is
still rather troublesome. The mental rest for both of us
has been splendid, and, thanks to you & Nan, our mind has
been at ease about the children.

New York was very delightful. We were tremendously
fêted, & I rather wish we could have stayed longer.
General Harbord's luncheon to me on Tuesday was very
interesting - most of the American Generals and the partners in
Pierpont Morgan's firm. I had to do a good deal of
work at Reuter's office and to see all our colleagues of
the Associated Press (who protected me nobly from interviewers) .
On Tuesday night we went to a dinner party & then to a play.
