[…] a number of fry from [?]

The demand for Spec Trout
to stock many depleted streams
in this Western part of the Dominion
causes me to make timely Enquries
as to what quantity of these
Eggs could be got from your
section another season, and
what arrangements you would
propose to Ensure your getting
a large supply. Let me
know your views fully, so
that I may be Enabled to
report to the Dept. as to obtaining
means necessary to carry
out the work successfully.

I notice your crop
of Salmon Ova are reported
to be in a favourable condition.
I trust they will remain so
till hatched and distributed.

A good deal of complaint
has hitherto been [indulged?] by Parker
stating that the fry from the Tadoussac
Hatchery are very largely destroyed
when being distributed by the officers
in the Spring, that great numbers are
dead or dying when turned
out from the cases – [?] yourself
on this matter, and let me

know whether we cannot remedy this loss in some way
as it appears very wrong to lose [?] fry after the trouble of
gathering the Eggs and hatching them.
