18 Thursday 8 am all hands cleaning & bagging. Took off 96 bags 118 bags left from yesterday. Fresh SE to East. Ketch making little water pump morning & evening. About 6 tons. 19 Friday 8 am all hands cleaning & bagging whealing ready for shipping. Whealed down 76 bags & cleaned about 3 tons guano. Ground very hard to dig up. Fine fresh ESE to SE. Bar 30-50. Worked up to 5.30 pm. 20 Saturday All hands cleaning guano & bagging & whealing same ready for shipping. Fresh SE. Bar 30-50. Worked up to 5.30 PM. 21 Sunday All hands shipping & boating guano & baged 75 bags & shipped same about 245 bags. About 15//4 tons. Sea smooth. Fine light Se to E. Started boating off at 8.30 up to 6 pm. Bar 30-45. Crew then shook the bags.

22 Monday All hands on shore bagging & cleaning. Done about 100 bags 95 bags baged. Bar gradually falling 30-35. 4.30 pm shifted ketch to south end of Island. Wind NNE. 23 Tuesday All hands on shore bagging & whealing & cleaning. Very cloudy. Fresh north to NE. Bar gradually falling. Noon shifted from NW end to south end Island. Cleaning up to 4.45 pm. About 100 bags whealed all ready for shipping. Bar at 4 pm 30-10. 24 Wednessday 4 am shifted to SE end. Wind west & threatening. 9 am shifted in the East Bay all hands whealing. 11 started boating off one boatload before dinner 4 boatload after dinner up to 5 pm. About 210 bags. 11 tons. Fresh NW to WNW. Sea smooth. Bar at 8 pm 30-08. 34//2 + 11 = 45//2 tons on board.

25 Thursday All hands boating off guano 2 boatloads before dinner. Oil winch got out of order & would no work [illegible text] up. Bags with single winch working up to 5 pm. Took 4 boatloads after dinner. Took on board for the day about 12 tons. Hard gale west. Bar 30-08 45//2 + 12 = 57//2 on board. 26 Friday First part trimming guano. 10 am crew went on shore to bag up guano. 9 am bar started to rise at 11.30 bar 30-25. Wind SSW. Fresh. Heavy swell all day. 27 Saturday 8 am all hands bagging & whealing. 11 am Inana Captain on shore looking for sailors. Took off 2 boatloads before dinner. After dinner 2 boatloads making about 7 tons. 4 boatloads. 57//2+7=64//2. 4.30 pm shifted to north end of the Island. Fine light south. Barr 30-45. 28 Sunday Noon Naval Commander took crew away & sent one man in their place. Calm. Fixed upals on shore 7 pm got under weight towards Port Adelaide. Light SE. Bar 30-50.

29 Monday 10.30 am Light SSE. Stop Wedge Island & took in 46 large pigs & one ton cast iron. On AEA Bennett & fishing. all pigs on board by 5.30 pm & one sailor hands snouri. Palms all right. Hauled whaleboat up near jetty [illegible text] wind. Calm. Bar 30-50. Left M all day to b—k- in with W Golly. 30 Tuesday At Wedge Island. No wind. Calm light airs & variables. Bar started to fall 30-42. 4 pm set all sail. No wind died away. Bar falling. 1 May Wednesday 1.40 am Hove up anchor. 2 am towards Port Adelaide. Light breeze NE. 4.30 am Passed near Emmes reef. Moderate NNE. 1 pm passed Cape York. Moderate north. Sea smooth. Stearing NE by E//2 E Passed Coates Hill. 3.30 pm [illegible text] stearing ENE passed Troubridge Hill. 7 pm Midnight wind EWE. Made several tacks.

2 Thursday 4 am passed Troubridge Lighthouse. 5.30 am hove to //2 hour near Point Joyles. Light NE. Stop near Stansbury spit. 2.30 pm all hands on shore to get water for pigs. 5.30 pm got under weight towards Port Adelaide. Light NE all night & variables. Bar 30-40. Calm & variables 3 Friday Light south & calm. Gave water to all the pigs. Light NE to ESE. Arrived Port River 6 pm. Anchored neat Torrens Island jetty 7 pm. Js spoke Mr [illegible text] about crew. 4 Saturday 5.30 am hove up anchor. Double sup Launch. Launch Leverret Took ketch to wharf & landed 46 pigs & one ton iron. Shifted again to Mount Lyle wharf to be all ready for discharging. Clean up ketch. Weather very hot. Bar 30-45. One Man [illegible text] sailor left to go to his ship. 5 Sunday At Mount Lyle Wharf. Js pump ketch. Js to town & Black Forrest.
