On either side as we sailed round was
fine sand or low land covered with scrub.
We soon hove in sight of the Port where a
large quantity of masts betokened a busy
port & after a few minutes the rope
was cast ashore. Our eyes wandered
along the shore & we recognised a face
seen by us on paper & sprang ashore
set foot on Oceania on St Valentine's
