State of Alabama Shelby County To Hon J M. McClanahan Judge of Probate for said County said County, your Petitioner in right of his wife Nancy who is a daughter of Eli Cost late of said County and State did show unto your honor that he has intermarried with the said Nancy, who has moved beyond the remits of this State and now resides in the State of Florida. That on the 17th of July A.D.1855 John P. West was by order of your honors Court appointed guardian of said nancy Cost. That on the day of January A.D. 1856 Came Jno P. West Guardian as aforesaid and reported to your honors Court as having received assets of the said Nancy Cost, being her distribution share of the estate of said father Eli Cost amounting to one thousand and twenty seven 49/100 dollars. That said John P. West, has never made any settlement of the estate of his said Ward, as required by law, That his said Ward Nancy is Intermarried with your petitioner , and hereby craves a settlement of the estate of said Nancy by her said guardian and your petitioner prays that, notice issue to the said John P. West to make settlement of his Accounts as such guardian , and that if that said John P. West fails to make final Settlement as required by law, that an account may be Stated against him by the Court, and in all things Confirmed by the
