State of Alabama Shelby County For and in condid [torn ] of the Sum of one hundred dollars to us in hand paid by Mary Johnston the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged We Joseph Roper and Mary P Roper and John M McClanahan and E A M Mclanahan have given granted bargained and sold & by these Presents do give grant bargain & sell to said [illegible strikethrough] Mary Johnston the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Luton 27 Township 21 Range. 1 West to have and to hold the same to said Mary Johnson and her he[irs] for ever and we do Comment to [torn] W[torn] and Mary Johnson that [torn] are arranged in full to said land & that we will form a warrent and defend title in full to said Mary Johnson & her heirs forever In witness of which witness our hands and seals this 12 day of July 1854 seal seal seal seal

The State of Alabama Shelby County a Justice of the Peace in for said County hereby Certify that Joseph Roper Mary P Roper J M McClanahan and E A M McClanahan whose names are signed to the foregoing Conveyance and who are Known to me appeared before me & acknowledge that being informed of the Contents of the Conveyance they Executed the same voluntarily on the day the same basis date the 12 July 1854 Justice of the Peace

The State of Alabama Shelby County To any Sheriff of the State of Alabama Greeting. you are hereby Commanded to Subpoena Benjamin G Wilson administrator of all and singular the Estate of Benjamin Wilson decd. personally to be and appear before the Probate Court of Law County at the Probate Judges offen thereof on the 2 Monday in September next then and there on oath at the instance of Nancy Cost by her friend and Guardian John P West to answer. if he is indebted to Benjamin F Randall if he has any of the Effects of Said Benjamin F Randall in his possession and if he Knows of any one Else indebted to or having the Effects of Said B F Randall in his or their possession and also to Show cause if any he Can why Judgment Should not be rendered against him on the pursusis fail not Witness J M McClanahan Judge of probate at office this 21 day of August AD 1855 J M MCClanahan Judge of Probate
