I have much pleasure in reporting the
very friendly terms we continue to
preserve with the natives, who begin
to make themselves useful in apprehending
And bringing in runaways, I beg leave
to request that a supply of Blankets
and Tomahawks may be sent for them [approved]
They value these articles very highly
A temperory shed for the purpose
of Public Worship will be immediately
constructed, and I have the honor to
state that at my request Mr Cowper
has invariably read the Funeral Service
at the Internments which have taken
place since my arrival at the settlement
I beg leave to enclose a copy of the
Manifest of the cargo arrived by the Alligator
accompanied by a letter from Mr Spicer
by which it appears that the Goods Consigned [order been
to him were not his property and have not [hereforin] for
been received _ the two Bags of Sugar consigned this man's
to Mr Cowper also have not been received by discretion]
