July 7" was instructed to notify the members of the Com-
mission, together with the Superintendent, of each
meeting, at least two days prior thereto.
The Committee, to whom was referred the matter
of the leasing of Block 17 in George Kinnear's Addition,
for Park purposes, reported verbally on the same
and to the effect that they thought it advisable to lease the
same, and that the Commission ought exert their influence
with the City Council in having an ordinance
passed to that effect; whereupon, on motion duly seconded
the Clerk was instructed to invite the Committee
on Public Grounds and Buildings of each House
respectively to meet the Commisssioners at their next meeting, in their
Chambers to advise with them in the aforesaid matter.
Report of Sup't of Parks, for the month of
June, read and on motion duly seconded was
approved and ordered place on file.
On motion duly seconded Superintendent was
instructed to purchase a list of plants, which said list
was presented to the Commission, and that arrangements
be made for the advancement of one half
of the purchase price thereof, as required.
On motion duly seconded, Superintendent was
instructed to secure plants and seedlings, as in his
judgment he may deem necessary, at the least
possible cost to the Park Board, at any time or at times
as may seem best in his judgment, and report any
action he may take in the matter to the Park Commis-
sion at the next meeting of the Board.
There being no further business, motion was made
to adjourn until next regular meeting. Seconded & Carried.
