Detective Rodgers Called to testify : said
that the prisoner struck Tellen in the face
3 times with his fist that while he
(Rodgers) was [?] the prisoner on
the sidewalk Tellen had tried to
Kick the prisoner but that he had caught
the blow on his arm and told Tellen to stop.

Reporter Todd: Called to testify: Said that
Mr. Rodgers had told the story just
about the way it happened with the
exception that instead of kicking at
the prisoner Tellen had tried to
stomp him in the face with the
heel of his boot but was stopped by
Rodger's arm

Officer Tellen testified that he had held
the man by the arm all the time and
that when he raised his foot to kick
the man he had restrained himself
before doing any bodily harm

Todd denied having any grudge against
officer Tellen.

Officer Tellen thought Todd did have
a grudge against him on account of
some words between them in Dr
Hiltons office some time before

Motion to proceed with the regular Cus-
mins before the Board and take the Tellen
matter up later was carried.
