History Folly Quarter. The daughter of Charles Carroll of Carrollton married a Mr. Caton (from which family in [han?] the name Catonsville) and their daughter, Miss Caton, married a Mr. McJarish, a Scotchman, _ and with the money which she inherited from her Grand Father [Carroll...?], the signer of this Dec. of Independence, she built Folly Quarter. The place consists of 1000 acres of land - and the house and out: buildings so familiar to our party are supposed to have cost about [$16 0000. the house (now fast giving to ruin) taking about $8 0000.
