Lucy's birth day. I spent the day at Uncle Samuels.
William hauling sand for Ingleside barn

Cloud Clear day, Mary and Warrick Miller and Debbie
Reese here to supper. Kate here after supper awhile, and
James and Phebe Stabler too.

13^th 4^th day
Coudy morning, a shower after dinner; Lucy at Harewood
awhile in the afternoon: Lizze Tyson and her
friend called late in the afternoon: had a long letter
from father, from Petersburg: William went to Washington
tonight.

14^th 5^th day
Tolerably fair day: Kaye spent the morning here:
Lucy and I there after supper. William did not get
here until nearly 10 oclock.

15^th 6^th day
Fair day: William took mother to Uncle Samuels in
the morning, went after her in the afternoon: Lucy
spent the afternoon at Joshus Gilpins: Kate here awhile
in the afternoon: blew up cool in the evening. William
