Stones in the afternoon. Lucy came home from Brooke
Grove in the morning, to Harewood to supper: Joe
went to Washington. William at work at his potatoes
all day: I got a letter from P. A. Stablrt from
Pleasant Hill telling of Debbies,
birth of a dead son today: it did not
live.

30^th 7^th day
Clear day: father went to Howard county again, back
to dinner: jim Stabler here awhile in the morning
Howard here to dinner. Lucy and I at Joshus Gilpins
in the afternoon. Joe came home from Washington
William at work at his potatoes all day.

10^th 1^st 1^st day
Clear day: no one here all day: I was at Howard
awhile in the afternoon.

2^d 2^d day
Clear day: Mother went to Uncle Samuels in the
morning, came home in the afternoon, brought Louisa
Pleasants with her: Caroline and Wilson Scott and Mary
Prince, Jim, Phebe and Tom here to supper:
