Clear day: Sarah Stabler took me to Dr. Magruders
to dine, I went on with her to Uncle Samuels in
the evening. Lucy came home: father called at
Uncle Samuels both morning and afternoon

8^th 4^th day
Clear day: Aunt Lizzie and I dyed our shawls
Tom Waters and his wife called there in the
afternoon. father took mother down late in
the afternoon and brought me homeL I called
at the Cottage awhile in the afternoon. William
went to town.

9^th 5^th day
Clear day: Lucy went to William Moore's in
the afternoon to stay all night: father called at
Uncle Samuels in the afternoon: William got
home about 9 oclock

10^th 6^th day
Clear day: father went to Brookeville in the
morning: Sally Lea and Lizzie Tyson called
here in the afteroon: Lucy came home from
William Moores. father had a letter from cousin
Tom Pleasants; telling of Walter F Pleasants death.
