Remained at Fulford last
night. Thos Lea went with me from
there to Friends Meeting, I went home
with Jno M Smith and dined with him
at Woodside- Went to Edwd Leas and
from there to Riverside. Spent the
Evening there with Br R, who Expects
to return to Balto: tomorrow
morning Early- Mailed letter to H.

{January 29}

Drove to Ashton. Chas Stabler
& Peter Williams in office for med
& advice Went to house purchased of Rush
Roberts. Met him together with W H Farquhar
& we surveyed and staked off the lot- B R
Roberts gave me possession of the key-
Thos & Beulah, Joseph & Chas: went over the
house and lot- beautiful day.

Tuesday
{January 30}

Went to E Lea's, office and to Henson Hills
to Peter William's, Jno: Leisure's, Cornelius
Leisure's and Chas: Stabler's where I dined.
Milton Stabler had tooth extracted.
Took tea at Mary Chandlee's & took
Martha Lea to Jno M Smith's to "Scociable"
home to Riverside at 11 p.m.

Wednesday
{January 31}

Went to Brighton dined at E Peirce's
after noon went to office. Mailed letters
to Harriet and to J Carr Esq - Went to Sandy
Spring- Back to Riverside- Feel badly
cloudy and threatning rain or snow-

Thursday
{February 1 }

Went to office, afternoon, went to B
R Roberts, thence to Spencerville, where B R
Roberts and wife acknowledged deed for property
near Sandy Spring, & I a mortgage on the
same, before S R Carr Esq. I took tea at Robt:
Stabler's. Returned to office & wrote to H. taking
the letter to Sandy Spring toll gate and left it
with "Higgins". Lecture of Lycerum- Went to
Riverside-

Friday
{February 2}

Went to office & to Sandy Spring. T Lea, Owen
Disney & I went over the house at "Woodbine"
Returned to office, went to Mrs Hetty Stabler's &
to Chas: Stabler's where I got bag of corn- went
to Fulford to spend the night.
