Wednesday February 21
Drove Dr. C out to the office & house
attended to some patients & returned
to Riverside to again meet Dr. Magruder
at 12.m. Sister D much worse, & I now
believe her case to be genuine "Cerebro-
spinal meningitis" and hopeless. Bro
J arrived about 3 p.m. too late for her to re-
cognize him. Son Charley & Billy Coale arrived
just after dark from Harford with load of medicines
furniture and such. Sent them over to Fulford. Our dear
Sister died about 11:30 pm -
mailed letter to H-

Thursday February 22
Came to office Billy Coale took Dr. C to
Laurel. Charley & I fixed things at Millwood
making the dining room confortable to live
in for the present. Bro: Richard & sister
Harriet arrived-

Friday February 23
Charley, Ernest & I slept at Millwood last
night. Billy Coale returned from Laurel
Afternoon went to Riverside.
Charley & Billy Coale went to C Stabler's
& got some corn

Saturday February 24 35 degrees Drizzling rain
Charley Billy Coale & I slept at Millwood
last night. Billy left for home on horseback
after which C & I went to Riverside.
Uriah Kisk & Frank Iddings arrived from
Philadelphia by stage and such, Bro Wm & Millie also
arrived from New York. At 4 o'clock p.m. we
laid our dear eldest sister beside our mother
(in the cemetery) whoes grave opened to re-
ceive her remains, the thin partition between the
graves, caving in virtually making out one grave.

Sunday February 25
Charley Ernest & I slept at "Millwood" or
rather they did I sleeping little or none. We
went to Riverside where we dined & took
tea with the Brothers & Sisters who were
gathered there so sadly & unexpectedly.
Wrote to Harriet. Charley & I mailing
it & other letters before retiring.

Monday February 26 37 degrees Cloudy E
Wm John Hinton called before I was done
breakfast. John Leisure & Jack Johnson
also called at office.
Parlett called at House & had tooth ex-
tracted. Edwd Lea called after tea and
settled his bill. Charley & I hauled some sawdust
to stable & fixed locks on the doors.
