Quite cold this morning. Dora
walked home from E Peirce's and
Willie came home from "Glenwood"
at noon. Afternoon Charley drove
"Fritz" to my buggy down to see a
patient in Dr. F. Thomas' place
Willie going with him. I walked
down to Ashton. Edwd: is not yet
well enough to go to school.
I went over & prescribed for Mrs
Robinson who is confined to bed
with "sciatica." William Oldfield
was married this moring at the
Ashton Methodist Church to Miss
Curtis; and is going to house keeping
in the old "Davis house" Sandy
Spring. Little Bessie is quite
sick & suffering with ear ache
having taken a heavy cold whilst
her sister Fanny was here.
The boys around the villages of
Ashton & Sandy Spring gave
"Billy Oldfield & his bride a
"Calathumpian" seranade tonight
"making night hideous" for about
an hour when they were invited
into the house & treated to cake
as usual after which they departed.

Edward & Little Bessie were
both sick last night. I kept E in bed
until dinner time to day. I drove
down to see Mrs: Mary Rand before
dinner, Willie going with me. C
drove to see a woman on Dr. Thomas'
place before dinner & over to Riverside
in the afternoon. I felt very
unwell in the morning but better
after being out in the fresh air.
Afternoon I went over to see Mrs.
Robinson again. Willie took my
buggy spring to the shop to have
it mended having broken it in
his "Glenwood" drive. I walked up
to the mill for the papers. I am
afraid our dear little "Bessie" is
a very sick child. She has a high
fever and looks badly, does not
complain but takes very little
notice of anything, which is
so unlike herself when well.
Charley came home after dark.
It commenced blowing & raining from
the S.W. about 7.30 p.m.
