Ther: 49 degrees Cloudy & Rainy Wind S.E.
Saturday, February 21st

Rained nearly all last night &
this morning it continued without
any "let up" except for a short time
after breakfast. Charley & Dora
Willie & Fanny Peirce went to
Rockville in spite of the weather & roads
and all that reason & common sense
could suggest to attend some kind
of a Good Templars meeting etc.
Willie taking Fanny in C's buggy &
C taking his sister in the road cart.
I urged him to take my phaeton, but
they insisted upon going in the cart
as it was not raining at the time they
started. C went to Flecher Clark's
before going to Rockville. After
noon I walked up to the store &
Post Office. Henry Warren called
to see Charley after dark and
I paid him .45 cents for C.
Geo: Tucker's wife sent up to see C
in regard to the "operation" performed
upon Geo: in Balto.

Ther: 35 degrees Clear Wind N.W.
Sunday, February 22d

Cleared off before sun rise
and the wind blew from the N.W.
all day. We were late getting up
this morning the children not getting
home from Rockville until midnight
last & we none of us went to
bed until after their return. After
breakfast Charley left for "Glenwood"
on horse back. Willie took
Fanny Peirce home in the "road cart."
I rode "Fritz" over to Riverside to see
Lizzie again and dined there in
company with Miss F Stabler and
Jessee Stabler. I called (by request)
at Thos: Lea's as I came home to
see Hallie Lea. The roads are
wretched but the wind & sun of
to day has helped them very
much. Niether of our "young folks"
seem to be any the worse so far
for the exposure & fatigue of
yesterday's performance.
