Ther. SUN. APRIL 30th, 1899 Wind
Willie, Fanny & baby came over
before church. I went to meeting
& heard a sermon from a
Dr. Janny from Baltimore.
Wrote to F. Tyson & mailed
the letter. W & F went back
to "Fairfield" before supper,
Edwd. going with them on
the bicucle, expecting to stay
all night. After supper I
walked up to the village.
The death of Mary Willis
Kirk, (widow of Richard Kirk)
was announced at meeting
this morning. John Thomas
called at the office this morning
(on his way from meeting)
for advice & treatment for a
"sore throat."

Ther. MON. MAY 1st, 1899. Wind
Clear & quite warm. I went
to the store & P.O. Afternoon
Dora & I went over to the meeting
house to attend the funeral
of Mary Willis Kirk. Sister
Harriet & Lizzie went to the
house & after the funeral sister
H walked home with Dora & I
and made us a short call
Lizzie calling for her and
took her back to Riverside.
Edwd. came home from "Fairfield"
this afternoon. Phil
& Frank Robison cleared out
the fence row between the yards
& we will put up a wire fence
in place of the old unsightly
row of overgrown bushes.
