Ther. TUES. MAY 2, 1899 Wind
This has been the warmest
day we have had so far.
I was about home all the
forenoon. Afternoon I went
to the store P.O. & toll house.
Towards evening a heavy
thundergust passed north
of us giving us some high wind
& considerable thunder but
as yet (at dark) no rain
but from present appearances
we may get it yet before
tomorrow morning.

57 [degrees] Cloudy Clear and Cloudy S.E., NW. & N.E.
The weather has been extremely
changeable; clear early this
morning soon becoming cloudy
& threatening with strong wind
from N.W. changing to N.E.
where it still is at bedtime
tonight. We had one or two
quite heavy showers & some
thunder & lightning this morning,
but towards evening the
wind changed to N.E. and it
grew quite cold & chilly.
I went to the store and P.O.
both before & afternoon.
Lizzie Scott was here to see
Dora this afternoon. After
dark William Bond (colored)
brought his daughter (Emma)
to the office for advice and
medicine. She has been living
with John Thomas' at "Clifton"
& he works for Griffith Search.
